The Senegalese forward enjoyed his time in Goa.

Al-Nassr star Sadio Mane seems to have enjoyed his short trip to Goa, India, when the Saudi side faced FC Goa in an AFC Champions League Two game on Wednesday.

Sadio Mane featured off the bench and inspired his side to a narrow 2-1 win as Al-Nassr maintained their winning form and collected deserved three points.

They are now top of the table with nine points and will next play their AFC Two match on November 5 against the Gaurs in Riyadh. It was also a big chance for Indian fans to witness many global stars in India, despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence.

The Portuguese star didn’t travel with the squad and was rested ahead of the game, but could feature when Al-Nassr hosts The Gaurs.

Sadio Mane reveals he might visit Goa again

The former Liverpool star revealed it was quite a good experience for him as he didn’t expect so many fans to turn up to watch the game. Following the match, Mane expressed his content with Indian fans and said:

”The atmosphere was great and I was surprised as I didn’t expect such a good crowd, so I’m happy about that. After I came here in India today, it was a new experience for me, and I would like to visit again.” said Sadio Mane in the media mixed zone after the match.

Despite their 2-1 loss, Goa managed to put up a good fight, but they will certainly have another chance to cause an upset and this time in Saudi Arabia. FC Goa remains bottom of the group and are yet to win a game in the competition.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr’s start to the new season has been spectacular to watch as they are top of the Saudi Pro League and AFC Two competition. They are also favourites to win the tournament this season if they continue in the same vein.
